Cal performs solo on whistles, windsynth, recorders, and some other toys. He also plays keyboards, organ, bass, and various woodwind and brass instruments including the king of heavy metal, the tuba.

His debut CD, available now, is called Angelica’s Waltz. Featuring whistles, woodwinds and keyboards , it’s an album about healing and restoration, and how God reaches out to us in the middle of everyday life.

Cal plays concerts at churches, coffeehouses, and provides instrumental background music for special events such as banquets, parties, weddings, open houses, etc. In short, if it is an event where a pleasant musical background is required, he can help.

One special area of interest is providing musical programs for retirement communities. He brings in some of the unusual instruments he plays and provides a program of pleasant music (ranging from jazz to hymns and worship songs) along with information about the various instruments.
