Musician

Cal performs solo on whistles, windsynth, recorders, and some other toys. He also plays keyboards, organ, bass, and various woodwind and brass instruments including the king of heavy metal, the tuba.

He specializes in instrumental background for special events such as banquets, parties, weddings, open houses and many others. In short, if it is an event where a pleasant musical background is required, he can help.

Also, solo concerts in churches are always a great thing, especially when combined with some storytelling and maybe even a little Gospel magic. He is also open to providing special music for a particular service.

One special area of interest is providing musical programs for retirement communities. He brings in some of the unusual instruments he plays and provides a program of pleasant music (ranging from jazz to hymns and worship songs) along with information about the various instruments.

Storyteller

"Presenting Programs to Challenge the Imagination and Warm the Heart..."

Cal has been telling stories along with Gospel magic and blacklight flannelgraph since 1983. He performs in churches as well as camps, Christian schools and anywhere else he is allowed to bring the Good News through stories and creative arts.

Wherever Cal is performing, his focus remains the same: to teach the enduring truth of the Word of God through creative arts and to make sure that the clear and true message of the Bible is never lost in the method of presentation. The message is what changes lives and so it must shine over everything else.
